You should prepare for your first phlebological visit and remember to take with you:
A list of medications you are currently taking.
A list of questions and doubts to ask the doctor.
A copy of medical documentation (previous results of ultrasound examinations of veins, if they were not performed in the Phlebology Clinic, information cards, etc.) – this is especially important in the case of monitoring or previous thrombosis.

What does a Doppler ultrasound examination look like?
Before sclerotherapy/echosclerotherapy/ScleroSafe/catheter sclerotherapy/flebogrif/Clari Vein:
- Two weeks before the planned procedure, you can take phlebotropic drugs – depending on the doctor’s recommendations.
- Do not sunbathe for three weeks before the planned treatment.
- If you have your own compression stockings, please take them with you to the treatment.
- On the day of the procedure, do not apply lotions or creams to your legs.
- Reserve time for obligatory walk after the procedure.
Before EVRF/EVLT and other surgical treatments you must have up-to-date tests:
- blood count,
- INR,
- HbsAg,
- Anti-HCV,
- APTT,
- prothrombin time.
Before the procedure, you should fast for about 5-6 hours and have a shaved leg (including the groin – in the case of the great saphenous vein).
No special preparation is needed before the RF treatment of spider veins/vessels.
Preparation for rectoscopy and anoscopy:
- The day before the examination:
Eat only a liquid diet: broths, strained soups and juices, jelly, pudding, fruit jellies, non-carbonated drinks, juices, tea.
- On the day of the examination:
On the day of the examination, a cleansing enema in the morning and 2 hours before the examination. Currently, ready-made preparations are used for preparation – Enema or Rektanal – available in pharmacies. The enema can be made on your own or with the help of another person. In the position on the left side with the legs bent towards the abdomen. , after spreading the buttocks and moistening the applicator at the tip of the bottle, the applicator is inserted into the rectum to a depth of several centimeters. Then, squeeze the contents of the container into the rectum. On the day of the examination, you can drink in the morning, but the last liquid can be drunk no later than 7-8 hours before the scheduled examination date. If the patient is taking medications, e.g. due to hypertension, ischemic heart disease or diabetes, please take the medications and drink a small amount of water.
This procedure of preparation for the examination is aimed at cleansing the large intestine. Failure to comply with the above-mentioned order makes it impossible to perform the test.
Before the liposuction procedure, you must have current tests:

Urea,
Creatinine,
Blood glucose level,
Blood group,
HbsAG,
General urine examination,
ECG with description
blood glucose level,
chest X-ray,
abdominal ultrasound (in the case of abdominal liposuction),
breast ultrasound (in the case of lipotransfer to the breast).
For the first hematology consultation, it is worth having the test results:
- Blood count (with smear),
- Prothrombin time,
- ApTT ,
- INR,
- And possibly ordered tests for thrombophilia.
For the first rheumatology consultation, it is worth having up-to-date test results:
- blood count,
- CRP,
- ESR,
- rheumatoid factor (RF),
Before the blepharoplasty procedure, you should have up-to-date tests:
- blood count,
- INR,
- APTT,
- ALT,
- AST,
- GGTP,
- urea,
- creatinine,
- blood glucose level,
- blood group,
- anti HCV,
- HBsAg,
- general urine test,
- ionogram.
How to prepare for a pelvic ultrasound examination:
Shave your intimate areas,
empty your bladder,
do not plan the treatment during menstruation,
How to prepare for sclerotherapy for varicose veins of the vulva/pelvis:
Shave the intimate areas,
empty the bladder,
do not plan thetreatment during menstruation,
take a pair of tight, sports shorts with you.
