JBS Klinika – Kompleksowe leczenie chorób układu naczyniowego oraz żylaków
Compression therapy, also known as a pressing therapy, is an effective, non-invasive and modern method of treating diseases of the venous and lymphatic system of the limbs. Specialized products, such as stockings, tights or knee-high socks, used in this form of therapy, exert controlled pressure that prevents blood stasis and the formation of clots, and at the same time improves blood circulation. Moreover, the pressure significantly reduces swelling and restores the natural shape of the limbs. It is also important to emphasize that this therapy has a significant impact on the healing process of ulcers.
Compression products are individually adjusted to the dimensions of the patient’s limbs, in accordance with the doctor’s recommendations. In our clinic, precise measurements are carried out by a qualified nurse, who then selects the appropriate product, taking into account both the size and aesthetic preferences of the patient.
Compression therapy is recommended primarily in the following cases:
Patients often give up compression therapy due to difficulties in putting on compression products. It is worth remembering that incorrectly applied and incorrectly selected compression products are ineffective.
In addition, we offer the possibility to buy or rent equipment to ease the fitting of compression products.
