It is an effective diagnostic tool for identifying, assessing the advancement or excluding venous diseases. Thanks to this examination, the doctor is able to diagnose the patient’s symptoms, qualify for treatment and determine the source and cause
of the patient’s symptoms.

Doppler ultrasound of the veins allows the detection of diseases such as: thrombosis, chronic venous insufficiency, post-thrombotic syndrome and inflammation of superficial or deep veins.

This test is also extremely useful in monitoring the condition of veins after treatment, and can also be used during the treatments themselves
.It is worth emphasizing that Doppler ultrasound of veins is a safe test that can be performed even in pregnant women.
The test is performed in a standing position and does not require special preparation. The result is valid for a period of six months to a year, although if thrombosis, inflammation of the veins or sudden swelling is suspected, the test must be repeated.
