Haemorrhoids are enlarged glands that can occur externally or internally in the anal area.They typically manifest themselves through bleeding and pain, which most often occur during bowel emptying.
One method of treating haemorrhoids is rubber bandaging, also known as the Barron’s method, which involves placing a rubber band around the nodule, leading to its shrinkage and gradual decay. After about 10 days, the nodule falls off by itself.
The treatment is painless and usually takes a short time, about 20 minutes.
