Ultrasound examinations (USG) Arterial Doppler is a non-invasive diagnostic procedure that enables the assessment of the condition and flow of arteries. It is also useful in determining the advancement or exclusion of arterial diseases. Thanks to this, the doctor can make a diagnosis, recomm end appropriate treatment, and identify the source and cause of the patient’s ailments.
Doppler ultrasound examinations of the arteries allow the doctor to detect various diseases, such as atherosclerosis, limb ischemia and narrowing of the arteries.
In the case of examining the arteries of the lower limbs, the examination is performed simultaneously with the examination of the iliac vessels and the assessment of the aorta. The examination is performed in the supine position (as opposed to the examination of the veins). Before the examination, it is recommended to fast for about 5-6 hours.
